Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana motivasi karyawan, baik intrinsik maupun ekstrinsik, dapat dioptimalkan untuk meningkatkan kinerja dalam berbagai konteks organisasi, termasuk lingkungan kerja yang fleksibel dan multikultural. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis yang menganalisis berbagai studi empiris dan teoretis mengenai motivasi dan kinerja karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik sering kali menjadi pendekatan paling efektif untuk memaksimalkan kinerja karyawan. Motivasi intrinsik, terkait dengan kebutuhan psikologis seperti otonomi dan kompetensi, meningkatkan kreativitas dan keterlibatan, sementara motivasi ekstrinsik, seperti penghargaan finansial, penting untuk tugas-tugas rutin. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi gap dalam literatur terkait pengaruh pengaturan kerja jarak jauh, perbedaan budaya, dan teknologi terhadap motivasi dan kinerja. Implikasi penelitian ini mendorong organisasi untuk mengadopsi strategi motivasi yang holistik dan adaptif, yang mempertimbangkan kebutuhan psikologis dan kesejahteraan karyawan. Studi ini menawarkan panduan praktis bagi manajer dan HR dalam merancang program motivasional yang efektif dan mengidentifikasi area yang memerlukan penelitian lebih lanjut.
